FAQs

Q: Why come for a guided meditation?
A: Meditation is simply about focusing the mind and not attaching to the stream of consciousness that produces your thoughts. This focus may be on the breath, a mantra, a feeling, an object etc. In the guided meditation I offer, we may focus your attention on visualising the imagery, your breath, the space around you and often, the feelings of love, joy or gratitude. There is always a period of silence to allow you to become an observer of your thoughts, to not attach. Being guided allows you to practise this focus of attention. This is particularly helpful if you are new to meditation.

Q: What are the benefits of meditation?
Please see my posts on benefits and science & research for a summary. I also highly recommend you research the work of Dr Joe Dispenza and his books.

Science now shows that if we produce negative thought-forms and create dense energy from emotions such as anger and fear, it usually has a detrimental effect our energy field, lowering our vibration. See Managing our Emotional Feeling States for more information on our intergrating our shadow self.

Q: Do I need to have meditation experience?
A: No, the guided meditations are particularly good for beginners but can be tailored to fit the most experienced of meditators. I have spent many years introducing newcomers to guided visualization for relaxation, focus and stress-relief and have found this method both supportive and effective.
